What is the SAT?
The SAT is a multiple-choice, computer-based exam that measures skills in:
* Reading and Writing:
This section evaluates your ability to comprehend complex passages, identify words in context, and demonstrate strong grammar and argument-building abilities.
* Math:
This section covers algebra, problem-solving, data analysis, and advanced math concepts, including some geometry and trigonometry. A calculator is permitted for certain portions of the Math section.

SAT Format and Structure
The Digital SAT is approximately 2 hours and 14 minutes long and is divided into two main sections:
Reading and Writing:
* Composed of two modules.
* Total time: 64 minutes (two 32-minute modules).
* Total questions: 54 multiple-choice questions.
* Content includes passages or pairs of passages focusing on Craft and Structure, Information and Ideas, Standard English Conventions, and Expression of Ideas.
* Math:
* Composed of two modules.
* Total time: 70 minutes (two 35-minute modules).
* Total questions: 44 questions (mostly multiple-choice, with some grid-in answers).
* Covers Algebra I and II, geometry, and some trigonometry.
Scoring:
The SAT is scored on a 1600-point scale. Each section (Reading and Writing, and Math) is scored between 200 and 800 points. There is no penalty for incorrect answers, so it is always beneficial to answer every question.

* Adaptive Testing: The second module in each section (Reading & Writing, and Math) is adaptive, meaning its difficulty is determined by your performance in the first module.
* Computer-Based: The test is taken on a digital device at authorized test centers. You may use a device provided at the center or bring your own approved laptop or tablet.
* Built-in Calculator: The digital test features a built-in graphing calculator (Desmos) for the Math section
